Three weeks ago on Sunday I adopted 3 boys (maybe about 6 months old). Their spacious 2 tier hutch was all ready for them, but the only problem is that Dougal pretty soon took himself off upstairs, leaving Zebedee and Dylan in residence downstairs. Attempts to encourage them to get back together are to no avail, with the boys seeming to have chosen these living arrangements. Dougal makes no attempt to go downstairs, and Zebedee and Dylan no attempt to go up.

So, my question is, how long do you think I should leave it before admitting defeat and converting the hutch into 2 separate "flats" and making what seem to be their chosen living arrangements permanent? Once I've done that, of course, I'd need to turn my attention to helping my beautiful Dougie-Boy (as Dougal has become known!) to find a soul-mate!

Haha I'm trying to do the opposite. Turning a normal hutch into two tier as my have a two tier indoor cage.
They love the ramp

I can't give any advice as my boys haven't split themselves up.
Do they still get on with each other?

Dylan and Zebedee get on (barring the occasional argument over veggies/hay/hide, etc...despite them having 2 of everything!) but if they are back together there is chasing and teeth chattering aplenty, but no outright fighting, thank goodness.
