How would i introduce Jessie outside, shes never been outside before being in a petshop so should i take her out for about 15mins or should it be ok straight away. We've had some really nice weather and i'm sure she'll love it. My dad built a good run for the rabbits with a sturday top on to keep animals out so i know she'll be safe but i do check out the window every 5 mins even with my rabbits out there ;D

when my FluffPuff had her babies (in the summer) i put her out in the run the next day with her newborn babies and they were fine. so i think your piggy will be fine to go straight outside just make sure the grass is dry. ;) i put my piggies out in the afternoon when all the dew has dried up.

This is our first Spring with piggies so I'm learning too. I read that piggy tummies need to adjust to digesting grass, like any other new food, so to introduce them to it gradually. Our two piggies set to work devouring grass at top speed so we gave them just 15 mins at first. Recently they've been going out for a couple of hours at a time and don't spend all their time chewing grass.

Ok thanks. Well the grass is still damp this morning fro the drizzle and it's a bit chilly. It normally dries up and gets warmer in the afternnon so i'll let her out then. :)

Sounds similar weather to ours - much warmer in the afternoons. I was disappointed yesterday afternoon because someone (wearing a mask) was spraying the grass in the large field across the ditch from us and we could smell it in our garden. We decided not to expose the piggies to the spray - just in case - so they didn't have their grass mowing time.

Hi i found the best solutions was to take a book outside and read it whilst the piggies had a play. That way i was supervising and could see if there was any problems, like the magpies coming to visit (they are friendly with us but... & the wasps >:( ) so i was always on hand. You could always read a magazine, do homework, listen to your ipod but as long as you keep an eye on them, you'll be able to control the situation :)

I have so many probs with my garden, yesterday i found a pretty cat sat staring at my baby rabbit, so i would be worried about that. Then there was 3 birds sat on the shed just above the run and a big bee flies around aswell :o so i'll take your advice and sit outside with her just to be safe with my garden spade on hand. ;D The weathers getting warmer now so wil see what it's like in an hour and give her a nice play for about 20mins :)

Same here, rains just started so both Jessie and my buns can't go on the grass :(
