our vets do the op for £35 but the RSPCA give out vouchers for £15 to help even if youre at work etc,so really it costs "20 which is good ( thats when it all works out ok :( :'()

Well i rang the rspca and was told they would only send the vouchers if i was claiming benefits :-\!

Ive just rang another vets and they charge £35 which is ok another one wanted £70 i nearly yelled wtf !

wtf?
thats wrong!
none of us in our house claim benefits and we just rang the rspca up and they asked how many we needed and they sent them :o :o

and £70??
what the hell are they trying to do by charging that :o >:(

Well i was surprised the £70 was from a big group practice thing is they didnt ask whether it was for a male or female so whether they charge that for females i dont know !

Well i said that surely whether you claim benefits or not shouldnt make a difference could i ask what number you called ? I called the main number not a local one ?

wtf = what the f? !

We've just got back in about 10 mins ago, they are a bit dopey, Chester is awake and has eaten an Asda extra special fine green bean! but Piggie has just gone into his vetbed snuggly and laid down and is dozing on his side and isn't interested in his beans :-\

It said on the info sheet that they would be dopey for up to 48 hrs and that all medications were given by injection? I thought it would be gas? It's also a rabbit castration aftercare sheet they have put the details on and says to give them Fibreplex and that the wound is under the tail..... ::)

Right what do I do now and how long shall I let him sleep before I panic ? :)

At least they are home and safe

I would just leave them settle for an hour or so and then just check on them and maybe entice them with something they really like. If they are not interested i shouldnt worry just keep them comfortable and let them be hard to do i know

I agree. You poor love, I know it's going to be hard, but you kinda just need to let them sleep it off... It wont be long til they're back to their usual selves I'm sure:)

well Piggie just ventured out of his snuggly and I moved the water bottle to where he was and he had a drink! then he eat 1 food pellet then had another drink then sat and had a wash! Woohoo! i've never been so pleased to see him grooming his self :) Phew!

Glad they're ok :) I know it's not the same but when my bunny Pippa was spayed she was dozy up until the next morning and I wouldn't say back to normal for a few days.

Thanks everyone :) Poor things are lying on their sides trying to keep their sore bits off the floor and Chester keeps lifting his leg up and leaning it on the side of the cage almost like he's thinking oh my poor sore bits, that's taken the pressure off ;)

Hubby is feeling for them, he says you've got to be a man to understand what they're going through ;D

Aaah I'm glad everything went well and hope the boys recover quickly x

haha pity we cant put more so called men thru that ;) ( not piggies tho as theyre cute, heh)

Well today they seem to be pooping and weeing but still not overly interested in anything apart from cucumber, and Piggie who last night pooped for England seems to have slowed down, there's only 7 poos since I changed the towels at 9.30am. Is this ok? And they are still quite inactive.

Caramel was the same, hardly any poo's,like he darent in case his ass exploded or something
he also sat quiet in his lil house only coming out to munch on carrot etc

its like " you took my precios fluffy bits away so leave me alone " lol
