HEY EVERY BODY!
So today I was really am melting Same goes for my poor darlings. The forecast looks horrendous for tomorrow with highs on Wednesday of 30. (I'm deeding it!) However the temperature starts to fall on Thursday to 21. Following Thursday Friday should be 18.and the same till Monday. This however is different in different parts of the country this forecast is Bletchley Luton area.
Hold in there!! Best movie to watch is frozen!

My forecast says I need to move into the freezer. If I was at home in the day it wouldnt be so bad as could leave all windows and doors open. I can't wait to go back to miserable British weather. As long as it ain't raining. A nice 17-18 degrees is my ideal

Well the weather has broken here in York, it's a lot cooler today cloudy skies with no sign of the sun. But much better for putting the little treasures outside!

It's boiling here, it's not so bad on my days off as I hide indoors but work... I might actually die in there with no AC and reaching 33 C for the best part of the day :(

So hot! So far the piggies are coping, but tomorrow is supposed to be stupidly hot with a possibility of thunder storms in the evening!

I really want those thunderstorms already, this weather won't break otherwise :( and it needs to break because I am not made for this kind of weather. It's too warm to eat, drink, sleep, deal with people...

I'm not built for it either, if it storms I am 100% going out to dance in it. Idc if it's 3am or if I'm at work, I need to be in rain!

You and me both! I don't think the pigs will have a huge problem with storms, they got on okay with firework noises, but man, the last few years have had some beautiful storms. Could totally do with another one.

Oh definitely! We had an amazing storm earlier in the year that broke the heat, it was better than snow at Christmas!

My piggies are indoors too so I don't think they'll be too worried, I will be when they eventually go in their shed (I don't want them to go in there ever :()

We had this one last year that turned my street into a river in less than two minutes :)) such beautiful, beautiful rain.

Maybe I shouldn't complain though - I used to live on the Irish coast and the humidity would hit 100% at 4am. And stay like that til maybe 6pm, when it would cool down enough to go eat a fish supper on the pier. Man, those were the days...except for the humidity.

I hate this heat. Usually there's a breeze, since I'm right on the ocean's door step, but not today. Been hiding indoors as much as I can. Have to go up to help out at a donkey sanctuary tomorrow, though, and looks like it's going to be just as warm again. Great. Usually like working up there, but I just have no energy at the moment.

very soon !the weather in leicestershire has been cloudy and 22 degrees celsius.tomorrow is hot down south and then thunderstorms and flash floods are forcast for Weds night/thurs morning ! you are in a lovely part of the uk,I'm landlocked and miss the coast .hope it is more bearable for you tomorrow .:)

It was 32 degrees in my garden today and about the same in my house! I checked the piggies outside in the hutch every 2 hours and they were fine. I didn't get them out for cuddle time tonight as it is far too hot. They had load of water containing veg tonight to help keep them hydrated!

Yes keeping them hydrated is hard, Iggy isn't drinking on his own anymore so I'm having to syringe his for him

It's horrendous, I keep coming in to find one of the piggies face down in the hay, don't want to moan but our weather is always one extreme to another. If we're struggling our furry friends are really struggling.

I like the hot weather, great for swimming in the sea and the river. Luckily Archie is well acclimatised to weather and theres a very good shade patch to put him in, along with the shade set up. we keep inside the run at 24c, so he doesnt mind the heat either.

the funny part of the story is that both my daughters can't wait for their next summer holiday in UK, finally far from the awful hot weather we have here! ahahah! but they are coming in August, maybe the heat will be over...
I cannot imagine how 32°C looks like in your country... I hope your beautiful green meadows will withstand the heat!

Facebook's telling me to be prepared for rain tomorrow and to "stay dry". Like hell I will, Facebook, I'll be partying in the street when it happens!

The temperature on my back yard was 44c this afternoon, I couldn't stand on the concrete with bare feet. Just gone to look now and it's gone down to 26c! The piggys have been going out in the evenings for a bit the last two very hot days but this evening it didn't cool down enough, they don't understand so I'm getting stink eye. The weather is bound to break by the weekend it's Glastonbury Mud Festival!

Be prepared everyone, it's going to be a hot one again today. But if the weather report is correct it should be over by tomorrow.

We've managed to cool the house down to 20degrees overnight so hopefully shutting the sun out will keep it down to around 25 during the day.

The pigs are off to live downstairs for the day again today.

Cant wait of the break in the weather tomorrow cant wait so funny how you crave coolness

These were the temperatures of the boys set ups yesterday

The bottom one is in the conservatory

Where did you get that from? Do you have sensors in their cages/hutches? How does it work?
I think it was Amazon. It took ages to arrive, the courier was probably a slow boat from China :)) It came with three wireless sensors, each powered by two AAA batteries. There is an option to connect three more sensors. I place them near where they sleep. You can set an alarm if it gets too hot or cold and if the humidity is too much or not enough. It's not very user friendly as the instructions seem to be in Swahili :lol!: but it works great once it is set up :) Cost about £30 if my memory is correct, I'll have a dig later on (if I remember )
