When you have to say something

I’m on reddit and came across a post where someone had knitted a jumper for her friend’s Guinea pig. I had to say something! Apparently shell only dress piggy for a few minutes while taking photos.

Oh dear I'm not surprised you had to say something... if they want to knit then why not knit hats for premature babies or something that is actually useful? My grandson was born a month premature and my daughter hadnt bought any hats as he was due in May but he turned up early on a nippy week in April and was given a hat knitted by a volunteer!
Or if you really want to warm up a skinny pig then why not make them a fleece blanket or snuggle sack or something safe they can escape from?
Its sad when crafts and pets become social media cartoon fests, pets and crafts are cute enough on their own without combining them in stressful ways just to get attention

My dear old Mumand her friends used to knit prem baby hats and booties for The Royal Cornwall Hospital Maternity Unit. It’s a very worthy cause, they also knit them for full term babies too. It kept them busy and gave them a reason to meet up in the lounge and socialise every week too
