Where do you buy guinea pigs toys, treats etc from?

I've just made a 5x3 c&c cage which may get extended to a 6x3 but there's next to nothing in it yet. I have an order in the post of a double sofa, 2 single cozies and a double tunnel so this will fill it out a bit more but I'm looking for a few more hideys and things like the stick bridges, willow balls etc but cheap as I'm going to be buying a couple of each with having 3 boys :)

Wilkinsons actually have some reasonable toys (willow type balls and card tubes etc.), you can cut your own apple or willow sticks for chews if you have any trees nearby and cardboard boxes and hay filled paper bags make great temporary hideys/toys.

I buy a lot of my lap pads and fleecy igloos/beds from ebay, cheap and usually really pretty. Fleece I buy from B&M, although they dont have any cute designs atm, just plain colours. Treats and things I buy from different from places like wilkinsons, asda, pet shops or pets at home (I dont usually get things from pets at home but I do get treats as my guineas love them!) :)

they have fleeces in matalan 2 for under a tenner You could also peg a fleece over the cage

and a fleece fringed. I also make fleece tubes and put a fiddlesticks in the end. Looks like a agility tunnel

hope these ideas are useful for you. If you are litter training your piggies they use them more if they are covered

I buy a special hay for my Gilbert at pets at home but I found it not long ago in another petshop for around the same price for more of their favourite bits in it. (now I no longer have to go to pets at home)

I use toilet rolls and paper bags for free as their toys.

Cardboard box hidies/toy I get for free from asda from the shelves and bedding I get free shredded paper from a neighbour whose husband is boss and owns the business and brings me a new bag every week. :)

I never thought of covering the litter box so they use it more, I've been trying to litter train my 2 but they just sit in it instead! I'm gonna have to try that now :)

My parents recently had new lino fitted & were asked if they wanted to. keep the cardboard rolls for my girls as they knew I had piggies (local firm) so I had 2x 4metre rolls &have cut them into custom lengths... The fitter said if ever I want more then let him know as they always have loads to get rid of.
I buy a lot of bits n pieces in Wilkinsons or my local independent pet shop (no animals)
Again paper bags &loo rolls stuffed with hay, or cardboard boxes for temporary toys.
Xx

I am a sucker for buying things for my lot, over the years I've spent a fortune! I find the things that they love at the moment are a litter tray full of oxbow hay and covered with a large log roll from my local pet store or pets at home, a bird feeder stuffed with hay hanging In their cage, a cardboard box full of hay, a toilet roll stuffed with ready grass, an plastic igloo each from pets at home with teabag paper bedding in (country store £10 per bale) they each have a red flexi tunnel from pets at home (£7) for their indoor cage I have bought cozy sacks, tunnels and nests as well as cage liners from just add pets and paws up for cosy pets. I love them and so do my gpigs. Other than that I tend to buy stuff for them from anywhere I am that sells stuff I haven't seen before! Amazon are pretty good price wise, wilkinson are fine for basic stuff, pets at home have a great selection but shop around for the same things at lower prices. Your independent pet store will have some little gems in and country stores tend to have great bulk buy items like bedding hay, ready grass, bedding etc. my baby girls have an edible hut from pets at home with a grass roof, they love it and have just started eating the roof but I've noticed they prefer the litter tray with hay and the log roll over so sometimes it can be a waste of money buying them expensive houses from pets at home! But having said that I will continue to do so lol! So I buy from pets at home, independent pet stores, wilkinsons, Amazon and zooplus.
