I've been really dumb and have no Xeno 450 in stock - and now I need it. Cuthbert has a bald patch which looks like mites (though I will treat for Fungal also).

I've ordered some from the internet which may get here tomorrow, but could be Monday.

In the meantime, does anyone know where I could buy it (or any other product that would work) over the counter? So far I've tried PAH but no use.

Beaphar Spot on £4.10 from PAH. But I would get the mites under control by going to the vets and getting effective treatment, then begin the spot on treatment. Touch wood, I have not had any problems since, as I have had to go through this. Infact, mites were the first thing I posted about on here.

I took Poppy to the vets and it cost £3.50 and she was better in 3-4 days . . . . so easy and I think cheaper than the shops ? xx I hope he is ok ! xx

Thanks for your replies. My other pigs have had mites in the past and all 4 pigs were trooped down to the vets for treatment. They gave them 0.8 % ivermectin which worked fine. I had to take them back for their repeat doses, and this is my problem this time.

I am going on holiday next Thursday and the pigs go to the holiday pig home (if she will accept Cuthbert with his mites), so a repeat visit to the vets is out. That's why I want Xeno450 so that this can go with Cuthbert to be reapplied when needed for the repeat doses.

I found the patch last night and it must have appeared pretty suddenly. I am keeping an eye on him and will decide what to do tomorrow if the Xeno 450 doesn't show up by post.

Thanks for your help.

Our Xeno450 was from the vets :D So no follow up vet appointment needed as they give you all the pipettes you need for the future treatments :) Give them a call maybe and ask if they have any instock?

Thanks Sam_Spice but our vet doesn't seem to do it that way unfortunately.

Anyway, the Xeno 450 arrived yesterday morning via Amazon/Vet UK, less than 36 hours after I ordered it - much relief from me over a speeady service!

Cuthbert and pals have all had a dose and seem to be fine. Cuthbert didn't seem to be suffering and wasn't scratching too much, just that he has a bald spot.

Cuthbert and Grubb will be having a bath tomorrow night in my Gorgeous Guineas shampoo (again, a very speedy great service) so I hope that covers all angles.

Never again will I be so complacent with my piggies' health.
