Just wondered where everyone adopted their last piggie(s) from?

Was it a rescue, freeads, friends/family, breeder, petshop, a forum, private individual or other?

I read a while ago that Pets at Home sell 80,000 guinea pigs a year. I've no idea how accurate that figure is but they must certainly sell thousands up and down the country ............... and yet the rescues are struggling for homes :(

Just interested really :) I'm just talking about the last piggies to come into your home as no doubt lots of people have got them from all different places in the past.

My neighbour got 2 sows for her 13 year old daughter from freeads, usual story, 6 months later the daughter got bored...my neighbour asked if I could take them otherwise they would have gone back into the freeads system :(

My last piggie came from Wood Green Animal Shelter in Heydon. All but two of my eight are rescues.

My last guinea came from the forum. Originally he was from Sokel rescue as I fostered him and he went to a new home but his new owners moved so I took him back as a forever. :)

My last two ... Milly and Molly ... came from the RSPCA at Walsall.

bella & trixi were from Sspca in Hamilton. We went back a month later for Sammy. X

My last two (and now only two) were from a 'friend' but to be honest I term them rescue, if you know what i mean !
