My Lilly came from pets at home originally with her sister Tilly. This was fours years ago now. Tilly only lasted a year before i started to notice her weight dropping off. Once I went to the vet he said she had diabetes and there was nothing that could be done for her other than to keep her comfortable until she eventually pasted. It was heart breaking and watching her get weaker and weaker with nothing I could do still hurts now
I started to search the internet for anything that could be done but then I found her in the cage the next day and I was heart broken. Lilly was on her own and started to stop eating and drinking and began to loose weight.
Then i started to look for anywhere where I might be able to find her a friend and came across the Potteries Guinea Pig rescue. After a chat with Helen I brought home Angel, my beautiful Marino

They were best friends straight away and I started to get involved with the rescue.
Fast forward 2 years and I have 12 rescue guinea pigs plus Lilly. Barley, Daisy, Pheobe, Angel, Tia, Maria, Barney, Magic, Lola, Toffee, Freddie and Fergus. (But not all living together thank God!). Some I have adopted and some are my long term fosters because they have special needs.
And I love every single one of them!
