? When I was younger we got my first piggy Nazeem, from a friend of the family who had bought 2 piggies from the petshop and one was pregnant so we had the only male baby and my causin had the 2 female babies.

My second pig was pippin, who we bought from a local small petshop as a Friend for Nazeem, they didn't live together but went on the garden and had floor time together :) RIP NAZEEM AND PIPPIN.

My third and fourth piggies, Jerry and Henry were from pets at home and me and my little brother both chose one each, my Henry became ill not long after getting him, but soon recovered an they both lived happily together for around 5 years :) RIP JERRY AND HENRY.

My fifth piggy Frankie was from a local petshop that was closing down, he was "reduced" to £5 and was not in very good condition. After having him a couple of weeks we decided he wasn't happy and needed a friend so my boyfriend found an add on gumtree Saying free Guinea pig so he rang the number and we picked him up. His name was fudge so I decided to keep his name :) him and Frankie lived happily together until fudge sadly passing away. RIP FUDGE.

My seventh piggy is Florence who I got for free from gumtree, I saw an add of a Guinea pig living in a plastic hamster cage and although I had 2 males at the time (fudge and Frankie) I couldn't leave her in that cage, so she came to live with us :) I knew she would need a friend so looked on gumtree again and found a lovely agouti who I called Francis, the girls got along great and I thought that was enough Guinea pigs.

Then When fudge passed away Frankie was distressed and would chew the bars trying to get out, so I found a local small rescue and they let me take Frankie up there for boar dating. This is where he met Freddie his little mini me :) they got along straight away, they are both really laid back piggies who dearly love eachother :)

And finally my little peaches who I got from local petshop because she was poorly and needed to see a vet and she was almost identical to my beloved fudge so I had to have her :) after recovering from her ringworm and being treated for mange she is now living happily with Florence and Francis and I'm at my Guinea pig limit :) would love to hear your rescue stories and how you came to own your piggies :)

I got my first two from a pet shop that was rehoming about a dozen for someone.Had been given a guinea pig cage to adapt for my hamsters, went in to get supplies and took two home with me, the next two were my daughters birthday present from a pet shop (she fell in love), some from previous, some from pets at home adoption and a couple bought full price but on their own or with a rabbit and terrified.I've been to shotts in Scotland for heathcliffe,(in a cage on the floor, owners realised they couldn't give him the life he deserved) windermere to get tiger-Lilly who was terrified living in a filthy shed with birds and a rabbit we took the rabbit too) and Preston for Jasmine-Catalina who was in a small cage with a lunatic six month old doberman pup jumping about frightening the life out of her.No more room for permanents but would never leave one in trouble

Connie (R.I.P) was an unwanted children's pet so we adopted her.

Eliza (R.I.P) brought from pets at home as a friend for Connie. I didn't know much about rescues at that time.

Eleanor (R.I.P) adopted from Sokel Guinea pig rescue as a friend for Eliza after Connie died.

Erin (R.I.P) adopted from Sokel Guinea pig rescue to join Eliza and Eleanor.

Ena (R.I.P) adopted from a small local Guinea pig rescue to join Eliza, Eleanor and Erin.

Enoch (R.I.P) adopted from Honeybunnies Guinea pig rescue to join Eliza, Erin and Ena after Eleanor died.

Emma (Current piggy) adopted along with Erika from The Potteries Guinea pig rescue to join Eliza and Enoch after Erin and Ena died within a few days of each other.

Erika (R.I.P) adopted along with Emma from The Potteries Guinea pig rescue to join Eliza and Enoch after Erin and Ena died within a few days of each other.

Ellen (Current piggy) adopted from BARC Guinea pig rescue to join Emma, Erika and Enoch after Eliza died.

Edward (Current piggy) adopted from BARC Guinea pig rescue to join Emma and Ellen after Enoch and Erika died within a few weeks of each other.

Anselmo is from a rescue called Bunny Burrows.

Jon Snow is adopted from a friend who fosters for an RSPCA. She had fostered his Mum when she was pregnant with him.

Podrick Payne is from Scotland. I adopted him through someone on Guinea Lynx who used to be involved with Thistle Cavies, which isn't around any more unfortunately.

Ludwig and Gilbert came from Jollyes. They were my first ever piggies.

Romano came from a really bad petshop that I just wanted to get him out of there. They didn't know his age or gender and he was caged in a tiny cage with rabbits.

Arthur I got from a user on this forum when I was after a friend for Romano

Corey I got from an ad to be friends with Romano after Arthur attacked Romano.

Matthew I then got from woodgreen animal rescue to go with Romano after Corey wouldn't stop... uh... orgasming on him.... ^^;

Ryou I got from P@H in a rush after Ludwig passed and Gilbert was lonely.

Sakurai I got six months later from preloved when Gilbert sadly passed away from upset of losing Ludwig - he never got over it.

Then finally Bakura I got from someone online :)

Lupo and Sira came from my brother. Don't remember the exact details about Lupo, but the reason of me getting Sira was that my brother lived with her girlfriend and they broke up so he came back home and I asked him if he could bring one of their pets and Sira appeared along him.

And Teddy was bought (saved is how I want to call it) from a petshop called Kiwoko, in Oviedo, one day I went there with my boyfriend to do some uni paperwork. He was a "she". It was terrible because in the same cage there were quite a few more piggies, one of them older and this one in particular was doing some "weird things" with her bum. I remember I looked closer and she was giving birth... it was really clear because you could see the paws of one of the babies, I told the girl who worked there, expecting that she would do something but she just said it was impossible... she told us that the piggy must be pooing...

We got Badger and Fudge from pets at home as 2 girls, Badger gave birth to 3 babies, Patch, Tilly and Snowball. We were waiting for Fudge to give birth too but we realised too late she was a he and Badger was pregnant again, unfortunately the babies were quite a few weeks old by this point. Badger then gave birth to Pickle and Patch had Branston. Luckily the other 2 babies had escaped Fudges advances! After that Mum and Dad bought me Rolo from pets at home, there were no other piggies at that one so we went to pets at home in another area to get her a friend (we made sure we sexed them ourselves this time!) Thats where we found Bullseye, again, the only piggy in the store but in with 2 rabbits. She had clearly been bitten by them so we took her home, unfortunately she was very aggressive to both us and Rolo. We waited it out with her until we realised that poor Rolo was pregnant (sigh) so she lived very happily alone from then on, her experience with the rabbits had left her pretty traumatised, she didnt even tolerate the other girls at lawn time. Rolo gave birth to a sow, Tigger who she then lived with, and 2 boars Bovril and Marmite. My brother was working as a labourer at a building site and one of the other guys mentioned that his dad was getting too frail to get into the garden to care for his 2 boars so he took them home and thats how we got Sooty and Sweep. Sooty unfortunately had kidney problems and didnt live much longer than 6 months but Sweep lived very happily next to the other boys. We heard about a show on the radio and decided to have a look and ended up bringing home Maggie and Honey. Maggie was the last piggy we had after all the others passed away. 3 years after Maggie passed, I decided that it wad time for some more, the house felt quiet and I finally had some space for them. I watched and watched the walsall rspca page to see what they had but we fell in love with 2 girls we saw at pets at home while getting cat food, so home came Blackberry and Bramble! A few months after that we were visiting one of mums friends who had 2 boars that needed a new home so...the enevitable happened. Unfortunately one was actually a sow so Shelly is now expecting and Leonard is enjoying his bachelor pad. Putting my foot down for no more piggies once the pups are born! Thats quite enough now I think, lol! (Sorry for the wall of text, this tablets having a bit of a breakdown and didnt want to do paragraphs!)

My 1st 2 pigs bill and ted were from a local pet shop.I actually wanted a rabbit and had never took interest in Guinea pigs but my mum said no and so when I saw bill and ted and saw how cute they were, I asked for them and my mum said yes.

I also got Sam RIP(in my avatar) from a pet shop.Id seen a lovely old pig for sale but when I went back a week later he'd been sold so i picked Sam out who was a baby when I had him.
I then took in Georgie from a lady who was allergic to Guinea pigs and paired him with Sam when he was 3 years old and Georgie was a baby.I also took in mummy pig and baby pig from the same lady(Georgie and baby pig were from the same litter).
I got guiseppe from a member on this site as his friend had died and he was lonely and as Sam had passed and Georgie wasn't himself I took Georgie to meet guiseppe and luckily they get on great.

I got my first two boars (Bing and Flop) from pets at home...didn't know about rescues having Guinea pigs at that point.

My next three sows (Daisy, Fifi, and Pippin) I adopted from someone on gumtree. The three of them were living in a 100cm cage with no hay, a huge bowl of muesli food, and the cage was filthy....I couldn't even get my dustpan through the bottom of the sawdust :(.

My next boar (Wookie) came from a loving home and was well looked after but they couldn't keep him any longer. He was introduced to my 2 original boars and all three live happily together.

Then came a neutered boar (Sam) and 2 sows (Annie and Missy) from Assisi. The two girls were together and Sam was on his own so I introduced them all to my 3 girls and they are all happily living together under the boys.

I'm currently hoping to adopt another 2 boars from Assisi. I need to do a bit of reshuffling to make room for them as they will need a separate cage of their own. One of them had been dropped and has damaged his spine so will be on pain relief for life. I'm leaving it to fate and if they are still there once I have made room for them then I will take them :). That will definitely be the last piggies for me for a long time....I have my hands full lol X

Got my 3 from RSPCA in Walsall :)
I've just had a look on their website and seen these 2 lovelies that would fit in perfectly at my house do you know how far out they rehome? These are the beauties

And these are my Freddie and Frankie

Also do they let you reserve them? Because if I was to get them I'd like a C&C cage that I could separate off so they can live at the side of my boys but I would need to get all the bits and build it up :)

My first pair were from the RSPCA, the second pair came from a friend who was cutting down on numbers.
Panda & his now-deceased friend Pedro came from the North Devon Animal Ambulance, and Panda's wifey-pigs came from Little Pip's Guinea Pig Rescue.

I'm about a 45 min drive away and there was no issue with the distance - as long as you're prepared to travel to collect them then it shouldn't be a problem. I had a virtual home check as there wasn't anybody local to do one so just sent pics of my hutch/run and the location and some information about us and our house etc. They let me reserve mine pending a home check.

They have just put out a Facebook appeal for Ash & Cael as they have been waiting since December for a home :(

Give them a call - I dealt with a lady called Becky who was lovely. It's a volunteer run branch and they're really busy so you may have to wait a few days for them to get back to you. Good luck! xx

I'll only put my current piggies on here otherwise I'd need a thread just to put all mine down!
Sherbet - P@H Adoption Centre
Mouse - RSPCA
Crunchie and Kinder - Rehomed from a primary school
Cupcake - Facebook
Every other piggy in my signature and most of my angel piggies have come from Milhaven GPR!

Thank you very much for replying :) it makes me so sad that they've been waiting so long for a home :( bless them. I live around an hour and 15 mins away, and picking them up wouldn't be a problem. I will definitely give them a call but I think I will get the C&C cage first incase they want to see where they will be living :) they are so lovely X

Rainbow Bridge pigs:
Squeaker, my first piggie as a child, I got from a neighbour whose piggie had given birth.

As an adult;
Gin and Tonic came from Pets @ Home. Sold as both girls and they were!
Biscuit, also from P@H.
Crumble from P@H, (I think).
Whiskey and Brandy, from a small local pet shop, (long gone) .
Sweetie, from a large animal show.
Sophie, from a hobby breeder.
Suzie, from the friend of a friend.
Spirit, from a friend and neighbour.
Clyde, from a show breeder.
Maya, from a hobby breeder.

Still Here:

Bonnie, from a show breeder.
Inka, Beano and Dandy, Swan and Crow Feather all from the same hobby breeder.
Aspen and Cedar, rescues from my Vet.

Wow, I'm having to rack my brains just to remember where all mine come from. I can hardly remember!
I'm doing a colour key for current and past piggies. Purple pigs have passed away. Green Piggies are still live and kicking.
Willow - was from a man just selling baby guinea pigs. My parents got him for me when I was about 8.
Marley & Tyson we adopted from Peterborough RSPCA As companions for Willow.
Hannon - I friend gave him too me because he was an inconvenience to her.
Pickwick, Pirate, Heath, Heston & Noah - All from various pet shops.
Harvey, Rummer, Gulliver, Finn, Varro & Romeo - All from A breeder, which I would never do again. (The last one I got from a breeder, Rummer, was 3 years ago) as although they have all been beautiful, I have had some of the shortest lived, most bad tempered guinea's from these 5.
Acorn, Perri, Eden, Ponyo, Rohan, Lindon, Blake, Aramis, Flint, Hiro & Yuki have all been from Woodgreen the Animals Charity.
Lupin was a rehome from a lady who had realized she had gotten a little over her head and decided to rehome all bar her favourite pair.

All 6 of my boys were from Walsall RSPCA @Stayc1989 i was very tempted to adopt those two cheeky chappies they are sooooo cute!
I hope someone adopts them soon I love them I'd take them in a heartbeat but I'm having afew issues at the minuet and not sure when I would be able to get it sorted so I can just focus on looking into adopting these two I'd love to hear they've found a loving home but if not I'll definitely be looking into adopting them when I'm sorted :) their little faces just make my heart melt :)

Isn't it annoying when "life" gets in the way  I hope they get a good home soon too it's such a shame for them!

NEGPR, free ads (don't recommend this to newbies but there were no rescues close and I had the money to care for them, I'd do it again now), pets at home adoption centre and I was a fosterer for Pixie Rabbit Rescue so took their pigs too.
