Well... ive just bought a house, so I'm rather busy, but it thought i should check in with you all. Let you know all my lovely piggies are well.

My cat Toffee, has been trying to mimic the Essex lion.

As you can see however, he Isn't much of a lion, Crumble thinks not.

My new addition from EAGPR is getting on fab. Jelly, is a little happy soul, full of life, and shes even good enough to help me making tea. Shes a pretty little darling and fitted in so well with the herd.

Last week i took a beautiful sow from Hazelcroft rescue. I promised a while back i could have her. Sarah was only willing to let the little lady go to a sensible experienced home as shes a satin. Shes absolutely stunning, shes a 1 year old silver agouti satin. She currently has no name, but I'm thinking hard. Last weekend i bonded her into the herd, and shes done so well. A few little tiffs with the dominant ladies, but all sorted now, and happily pottering around with them all. Here she is...

I cannot wait to get into my new house (no moving date yet), because my piggies are going to get a designated room all to themselves. Spoiled little souls. :)

Will you be moving far, and will you have a garden?

I'm moving just a few miles north to Welwyn Garden City. And yes i have a lovely garden, will have to work out a run rotation on the lawn for all the little mowers. I also have a nice shed... I'm plotting a little pig rescue in the future me thinks.

Maybe a BBQ next year, I'm not sure how much summer we have left :(

A satin is a guinea pig with fur that shines, literally, they have been bred this way but come in all coat types and colours. Many however are carriers of the osteodystrophy gene, which means they cannot absorb enough calcium into there bones causing them to be weak and painful if not detected. Some dont carry the gene and live a happy healthy life, but you never know.

I've not been around much either for the same reason...exciting but hard work too especially with lots of piggies to consider :(|)
