Hello, after having a few dissapointing bags of hay from local stores I was wondering where is the best place to get hay? I can't fit a bale of hay anywhere so it would have to be a smaller bag than that.

I buy Nature's Own Pets meadow hay. It comes in slightly compressed 4kg rectangular bags. You do have to buy 5 at a time though. It's dust extracted and has really long lovely strands. My piggies love it. Costs less than £5 a bag

I get my guinea pigs hay ordered in by my vets and pick it up fortnightly, maybe your vets offer the same? I use Pettex meadow hay for their bedding and Burgess for feeding hay. I also get Burgess excel herb mix to sprinkle on the top of their hay so they can forage. Mine love these, they eat all their hay continuously.

Thanks for your replys but I can't get either of them as I don't have the room to store 5 bags and the vets don't offer it unfortunately.

I order mine through amazon and get 2kg bag of oxbow Timothy hay. I think you can get larger but I couldn't store it myself.

Generally works out more cost effective to buy bigger, if you're having trouble finding a wide range of small packs, have a think about 'hidden' storage space - under a bed, on top of a wardrobe, any kind of space where a spare pack could live :)

That looks really good which hay do you get?
I recently ordered a large bake of Timothy hay from here which my girls seem to like but the boys not as much.I also ordered some samples of ings hay and meadow hay and they all loved it.
