I stayed at Hazey's house last night we're friends off the forum however that may not be for much longer after we get some quotes for the damage :)), anyways following on we normally climb mountains at the weekend so we wanted to get an early start.

Theo became unwell so rushed him to the vets I have my dog with me. We decided in our rush to leave the dogs who would have thought he would have had separation anxiety...

Can we all see were this is going? When we got back we couldn't find my dog finally located him in the toilet he'd got locked in due to the fire door and he's obviously panicked urine and faeces everywhere - floor wrecked, skirting board has chunks out it and bath panel has a whole. Parents coming to inspect the damage, thankfully we are both adult's with jobs to pay for the damage.

Theo is not good, blood is coming out his behind, he's still active so a good sign he had really bad diarrhea the vet said his colon is inflamed so we're hopeful he can make this, to be honest I think he has to now!

The day is on dedicated to supportive care for Theo, a bottle of wine may disappear soon!

The moral of today's story is, animal's can be costly.. @)

thought I should add we didn't lock him in the bathroom he some how managed to get in but unfortunately due to the fire door he couldn't get back out. My dog is fine so hey it could have been much worse and to be fair I'm fairly certain I would have panicked just as much as him under the circumstances feel terrible for putting him in that situation in the first place just glad he's ok. Hindsight is a wonderful thing!

Oh dear, hope you've all recovered from both shocks soon!

I'm sure the DIY will turn out to be easier to fix than you think despite the initial awfulness.

Oh bother. Firstly I hope Theo is going to be okay. Healing vibes on their way to him from me and my girls.

Hope the damage can be repaired without being too costly and hope you all recover from the ordeal soon.

It must be a day for vet visits - I had to rush Truffles to the vets first thing too. :... I'm beginning to feel like I live in the vets...

Get well soon Theo

xx

PS After trashing my car the other week Owain says 'Well done Dylan!'

Oh no, what a night!

Hope Theo is ok. Sending lots of healing vibes for him.

Dylan must have got in a right flap to do all that but it's all mendable. Glad he's alright now. x

Oh gosh, what a day! Hope the DIY doesn't turn out to be too bad and sending Theo healing vibes!

Sounds like you, or at least the doggy had a mad adventure while you were away !
Hope everything can be put back to normal soon !

It's amazing how things change in the morning, Theo ran up vegetables and has started nibbling hay, we got a new bath panel fitted from B&Q yesterday, after sanding the door frame it looks much better and we're going to build it up with wooden frame with wood filler then re-paint it.

We also managed to locate the exact Vinyl floor for £35 including delivery whoop whoop!

Oh HECK! what was supposed to be a lovely weekend......nearly was a disaster!

I must say although animal's can make our lifes a lot more difficult, I'd still not trade them in there's nothing better than seeing them popcorning or wagging there tail!

Dylan forgave me straight away he probably throught we saved him from the evil bathroom bless him, he won't be getting left anywhere ever again.

Who would have thought the dog, would lock it's self in the bathroom?! Xx

Only just saw this thread, glad Theo is ok lots of vibes his way x x

Well a little update. No blood in almost 24hours. We have gradually firming poo- i say firm. We are about half way between what was dishwasher water like fluid coming out his bum to a thick browin icing like paste.

He's still not eating himself and stays in the same spot in his cage and I havent heard him ruble at his wives in days now. I'm so so worried about leaving him for going to work tommorrow. He's such a poor wee soul.

Just look at this face? If only the world would understand :(

Firmer poops now- almost normal but he's in an increasing amount of pain. Everytime he poops he cries so loud and squints his eyes in pain. The pains getting worse the firmer we get and his whol body is clenching up to them out. Its so distressing to listen to. I could honestly just cry myself to sleep :(
