Which food? SS or PAH?

Hello

I currently have Amber on PAH pellets (easy to get hold of) but I got hold of a sample bag of SS, I've also asked Supreme if they would send me a sample.

Are the SS pellets a lot better than the PAH? I'd have to order the SS from the net if I was to switch as nowhere near me sells bigger than the sample size bags.

Obviously if the SS is far better then I'm prepared to order them in, but it wouldn't really be worth it if they're not that much different.

I think they're probably the same quality. PaH pellets are quite good, although I've noticed my pigs drink more when they're on them, although I can't see why! SS are also very good - I consider them to be the best of the best in guinea food.
 
I had a trial pack of Science Selective and my girls wouldn't touch it :( I'd check which they enjoy the most before deciding to switch ;)
(they're fed P@H nuggets now, though eat more hay than anything)
 
Out of the pellets mine love the burgess blackcurrant, but they like the musili food as well, I usually springle some of this around the hutch for them to find.
 
I've never tried Amber on Burgess :) Bailey didn't like it so I just stuck with P@H pellets.


I've never seen the black currant burgess (or I've not been looking for it lol )

Got quite a lot of P@H left so it's not an immediate worry.
 
Without giving too much away P@H nuggets are the same as another well known brand;) Our piggies prefer SS though and we occasionally sprinkle a few of the Excel blackcurrant ones in too.
 
I'm just in the middle of weaning mine off P@H nuggets at the minute.Putting them onto the excel food.Its not thriugh choice my local pets at home is shutting soon and relocating :-( which well known brand are theye the same as message me if you do not want to publicise it.Ive always been tempted to try them on wagg but dont like the thought of the selective eating and there diet suffering.

Wagg do a pellet as well it's very small compared to the other pellets I've seen. It's called Optimum x
 
stevie pig, wagg do a nugget one as well called wagg optimum if that helps.
 
is it easy to get hold of as excel is really good i did alot of research before moving them onto it.i will keep my eyes open for it and see if theres plenty of it around. Thanks peeps
 
I started mixing some of this in with the P@H nuggets the other day, the SS has been picked out & eaten first all the time :)
So I've got a bigger pack arriving soon from the Hay Experts.

Still got quite a bit of the P@H left but I'll pass that onto the niece's gp cos hers is on a mix and I don't think it eats everything in it :)
