Which guinea pig?

I'm very excited about getting 2 guinea pigs but dont know which ones 2 get, can u send me some pics or give me some advise on which breed is best for a first time owner.

looking forward 2 seeing your guinea pigs!
 
Have you looked in the photo gallery.....there LOADS of piccys in there :) :) ;)
 
Yeah my herd are there under Pigguns and Radley also posted under Twinkle little Star as well! In the rescue section I have Ant and Dec who I'm fostering from Graham's rescue. :)

I would say smooth haired pigs or rexes to start with. Rexes are very laid back. I wouldn't necesserily say girls were better to have as I love boys too. But obviously long haired pigs are harder to care for. :)
 
thanks, i was looking at a sheltie (sorry about the spelling)and will concider looking at the rexes. I'm going 2 the animal refuge tomorrow for some advise and I'm not gona rush into things because I want 2 give them a loving home
