So I'm looking at which hay....Timothy is what I've been told but was just looking online and there is "ing" hay and also "Timothy and rye" is this just different types with different taste or is there more to it than that?
I'm looking on hayforpets at the moment

Timothy or meadow hay for daily are both fine. Ing hay will make a lovely treat.

As hay should make up to 80% of the food intake, piggies quite enjoy it when you vary a bit. It will also help you in case your usual hay is for some reason not in stock or not as good if your piggies are used to other flavours and textures.

You can get a small amount of alfalfa hay and feed about one handful per day until it is used up, but alternatively, your youngsters will get the extra calcium and protein from unlimited pellets until the weekly growth rate is starting to slow down (please feed rather often but smaller amounts than just topping up; youngsters can pee into their bowls). The actual extra amounts needed are in fact very small.
Make sure that you include one high vitamin C veg every day in their bowl of mixed veg, like a slice of pepper (any colour), a bit of broccoli (any part) or a sprig of coriander/cilantro, parsley, dill, mint or basil. Please vary; the wider the variety they are getting used to, the less picky they will hopefully become later on.

Mine have a large pile of meadow hay from Hay 4 Pets (its gorgeous, really soft). But they adore Oxbow Timothy hay, which I buy from The Hay Experts. They love it almost as much as their vegetables. :))

All the babies I have had have been given my usual hay which is good quality hay (just normal hay I buy in a bale but if horsey people feed it then it ain't rubbish) and a mixture of meadow hays which I get from zoo plus. I also give mine dried leaves such as dandelion to add variety :)

Sacha,

I use Hay for Pets and it is good quality. I am sure your new piggies will love it.

Buying the bigger 9.5kg bag makes it quite economical, particularly as postage is included.

Their customer service is good too.
