Hiya Guinea Pig lovers, despite daily changes of bedding and frequent daily spot cleans, I have to bath one of my Piggies almost every week as he decides to sleep in his little puddles, which in turn leaves me with a beautiful white and not so beautiful yellow bottomed Piggie. Dom really does enjoy bath time and a gentle blow dry for 30 minutes almost every week, So what I would like to do is really spoil him with a really nice friendly shampoo, So could you please give me your recommendations and why you like them?

Thank You :)

:D I've only used one piggie shampoo; Gorgeous Guinea's "Posh 'N' Go" . It left my Sheltie Bonnie's coat really soft and shiny and has prevented her from getting knots and tangles.

(P.S. Maybe you should think about changing to a different bedding?)

I've just orederd from Gorgeous Guineas a Just for Boars and a lavender Kind & Gentle shampoo for Dom and his yellow bum :)

:D My late Suzie (avatar) had a yellowish stain on her bum, which wouldn't wash out. Then I changed to Carefresh bedding and the stain disappeared! :hmm:

Wow, that sounds like a good one if you're getting those results, I am so looking forward to getting mine now.

I have used Carefresh before, I believe I would need about 2 - 3 large bags to cover my boys cage floor... I think?

Fitch is similar,£20 pounds for a 20kg bag.it lasted a month, and it was used in two 6x2 c and c cages.:agr: with all the above ,use posh n go,just for boars, neem shampoo on those that have had scurfy skin in the past.good luck with the bathing.:)

After reading your posts I have just purchased Posh 'n' go (conditioning) & kind 'n' gentle (lavender). It's says Posh 'n' go is great for long hair - thinking this will be good for my 2 Swiss cross sows and kind 'n' gentle as this says it is good for rex breeds and babies under 12 weeks. Which one of my Swiss is currently. Look forward to receiving and seeing how we get on. Thanks everyone

I received my order of Kind n Gentle and it smells great, the Just for Boars smells absolutely Amazing, I shall do a spot test on Dom as recommended, then get him ready for a good bum scrub! :))

No problem, I will need to grab my wife when she is free to take some snaps, as Dom needs all of my attention when being bathed as he enjoys laying belly up with everything showing when its bath time. :D
