I will be taking George to the vet on Monday as he has what Debbie (TEAS) and I think is a fungal infection, possibly ringworm.
Which shampoo is it that I need to get?
 
For ringworm, we recommend imaverol dip. Good that you are having him seen and properly diagnosed. I hope that treatment is straight forward.

In case of ringworm, please be very careful about handling and disinfecting (including all fabrics and houses), as that is one of the few things that crosses species to other pets and humans. F10 is a very good antifungal disinfectant; they also do a hand gel. Getting disposable gloves when treating ringworm is a great help.
 
Thanks Wiebke, we are being super careful already with hand washing etc.
 
Can recommend F10 handwash for after touching fungal piggies and F10 spray for cleaning cages etc.... Also vinyl dispossable gloves, Amazon sell a box of 100 for around a fiver. Hope you can get it all cleared up soon.
 
It would appear that George and Reese have a nasty lice infestation again. The vet was very thorough, she doesn't think it is fungal. We've gone for a topical application for now so will see how that works.
