I thought white crested piggies are supposed to have two colours-white on their head and one type of colour on the body?:{I saw a guinea pig being sold in a petshop labled as "Crested" and it has black and brown on it's body but white on it's head.SO what you think?Oh and it's expensive:0 Or not I already bought it.It's RM200.And if I convert it into USD it's about 50+

i have a crested, but unsure if he's an american crested or a normal? does an american have just one body colour?

My avatar pig, Zippy, is a self white crested.

American crested means the body is one colour / several colours and the centre of the crest is white, I think!

There are - as Peter Gurney described them - "dual nationality" crested piggies i.e. not a fully white or fully coloured crest. My two crested boys are "dual nationality" - they each have a bit of white in the crest, but also some colour too.

American Crested has a fully white crest, different to the rest of the body colour.

Crested has a crest the same colour as the rest of the body.

Than worth or not worth the buy because I think they're quite cute....:<>
