So i noticed today 2 of my guinea pigs have a white crust in their ear . one (chubs) just has like a white crusty film over the top of pne of her ears and the other (bugsy) has like white hard crustys all inside her ear. (the other two gp dont have anything) I tried cleaning bugsys and its not really coming off she does however have 2 red spots in her ear. I looked it up and theres 3 possibiltys and it says Ear wax, Ear mites ,Or a fungal infection. Has anybody had this issue before? I thought maybe bad ear wax because i did not know you had to clean their ears. But the other ones dont have it So I'm not sure. Any advice at all would be appreciated.

A visit to the vet would be a good idea.
Hopefully somebody can say for sure, but I was always told to not clean their ears....

You don't need to clean their ears so yes you definitely need a vets visit to diagnose the problem and get appropriate treatment

A definite visit to the vets is needed to find out what the problem is and to get it sorted. Please don’t try to clean it yourself or poke anything in their ears. They are very sensitive.
