Hi i have our piggies to the vets this afternoon for a check (itching a little bit) and mainly for our sow who i think has bad bloat, she very rotund but not pregnant. I'm a little worried for our 4yr old n-boar, went to get him for his morning brush and he proper kicked out at me and went to nip me which is very out of charachter :/ i had him for lap time whilst i brushed him and seemed okay albeit a little unsettled. Noticed small deposits left on the fleece, not gritty (pic attached) and he had pooped a couple of times and when i went to pick up one end stuck to my glove, almost normal but mucusy on the tip and super sticky? Any thoughts as all before we see the vet?

@Hbecooper He may be bloated too as mucus can be a sign of a digestive issue. Hopefully your vet will be able to prescribe something for him.

Thank you, i did wonder, with him being very ling haired sometimes hard to judge if hes tubby or not lol fingers crossed will give then a good looking over x idont give any food that cause bloating really and they habe bottled water which has very low calcium recommended as we are hard water area, just not himself, glad i got the other booked in so i can get him seen too now x

Took them all, and said all was okay. Didnt seem overly concerned as his poop was okay whilst there, said both fudge and bruces tummys felt fine. He said to keep an eye on them just incase and to diary when we notice a difference and if anything we are feeding at the time may come out of it to find something upsets a little. Said to come back from holiday in 2wks and will see how we get on with them both x

Hope all goes well st the vets
Thank you x

Hopefully.so were all treated for mites which he said may well be causing the aggravation. Oh i forgot.to say he thought it maybe a hormonal thing with my sow, and potentially a phantom pregnancy as her nipples were a little swollen (definately mot pregnant tho lol). Hopefully all will settle and will benfine whilst on holiday x
