Hi,
Ive gone to check one of my boys and I noticed he had white discharge from his nose. It looked the same colour as the white liquid they make from their eyes to clean but it definitely has come from his nose.
He is still eating and pooping and wondering around his enclosure so no loss of appetite or being lethargic. I know URI can be very serious. I havent noticed any major breathing changes or mouth breathing. Vets are now closed till 0830 tomorrow morning.
If there anything i can do other than monitor till I call them?
Many Thanks

Hi and welcome

As you have a boy, it is most likely that the white fluid is semen fluid that is not uncommonly found on boar's noses and mouth - but usually in its dried form (the aptly and descriptively named 'boar glue').
Your boy must have accidentally inhaled some when he was masturbating, which is not at all uncommon in boars. He's obviously been sneezing it back out, which is why it hasn't dried out and stuck to the skin and hairs.

Please take a deep breath and just keep a casual eye on him over the weekend. What he is definitely not showing is any of the symptoms of a respiratory infection, so there are no worries about that. :tu:
