Cleaning out my shed today I have found in four of my vacant hutches a white mold! cringed in horror. Cant work it out it. All of these were used as storage for newspapers and small garden tools.

I have some polycell 3 in 1 mold killer! Which could be a bit harsh - smell wise. It says no animal should have contact for 48 hours. Could bring pigs in over the next couple of days.

Any advice please.

When I say bring in I mean because they would smell the mold killer at work from their houses.

Is it possible to take the moldy hutches out of the shed rather than having to move the piggies indoors? Just a query, the weather has been pretty good over here recently.

I think you would be doing the right thing avoiding the piggies breathing in the fumes by the way. I have used that stuff and it is invasive. If you could move the hutches out then that would stop you from breathing it in too!

Did a bit of research and came up with no real conclusion to what it was. Decided to hit with some anti bacterial and put everyone out in the garden for the day. As of the heat it was washed and dried in no time. No evidence of the mold at all today. Very strange but at least its gone now.
