my baby piggy Squidge has white around her genitals. These white marks are not near her slit but where the fur meets that area. There is nothing white on any other part of her body.

I don't know if it's a fungal infection - an odd place - or from sitting in her own urine. She does hide behind the hay trays and urine leaves white marks when dry, and these marks are bear the fur. She is too wriggly for me to take a pic.

I'm taking Smudge to the vets as she has the start of a fungal issue on her ear so ill take Squidge with her. I will see if I can book an appointment for tomorrow. The vets were open today! I wish I had spotted this earlier!

It is either dried chalky deposit from a milky calcium pee she's been sitting in, which you should be able to remove gently with a damp cloth or fungal, which can happen in any area of the body.
In the second case, the white should be crusty like the pictures in our ringworm guide: Ringworm: Hygiene And Pictures

My bet is rather on the first than the second.

Thank you Wiebke. I think it's dried chalky deposit as well. I still want her checked over by a vet just to be sure.

Smudge has to go anyway. I will book them in for tomorrow before I go to work

After finding issues with poor Smudge, I think it's fungal.

The entire herd might have issues.

Sigh

Not sure; it can still be calcium, but you certainly need to treat all piggies to make sure that it doesn't spread.

Can we please keep the discussion to just one thread?
