Georgina my black piggy has a white patch just on one of her ears. Obviously I'm thinking its a fungal infection.:(
Have checked her all over and can see no signs anywhere else. How should i treat this small patch ?
Have checked other threads and people recommend gorgeous guineas. I was told she is 13 weeks but personally i think she is younger. So I'm unsure what to use.
Ps I do have some daktarin cream here but I'm unsure to use just in case she is under twelve weeks?
Any Advice would be appreciated :)
Thanx Emma

i use canastan cream for humans rub it on the ear twice a day for 3 wks to be safe i use this in all my rescue guineas i get in and have used it often on babies who come in with ringworm make sure you wear gloves when handling and a wipeable apron or change your clothes before touching anything or anyone else has if it is ringworm/fungal infection it can be passed onto other animals and humans .
i clean my cages with virkon disanfectant as ringworm/fungal spurrs can live for 30 plus mths in woodxx
i also think daktarin cream is safe to use has well.but i do and have used canerstan cream 1% with no problems rub it on both every day twice a day and treat any other guineas in with this one on the ears too...

Hi , thanx for the link. Id say it doesnt look as bad as that eg not as crusty and thick etc. But looks as though it maybe the start of it. Because her ear is black it shows up a lot. Hopefully i can treat before it gets any worse.
Emma

Best of luck! The pictures on guinealynx are usually from severe cases.
