White Scrabby Patch On Ear!

Hi I recently got a New Guinea pig, I noticed he had a scab on his ear n it has now turned into a white patch and it's becoming bald !? Any ideas what this could be? I'm taking him to the vets on Monday to check but just wondering if anyone else has had this?

It sounds like a fungal infection. It doesn't necessarily need to be ringworm although that is the most frequent fungal in new piggies.
Please observe good hygiene and be aware that you will have to also treat any companion piggies in contact with your fungal piggy. See a vet for a proper diagnosis and don't home treat on spec.
