I’ve noticed for the last month or so both my female pigs and my 2 male pigs have white spots on the fleece in their cage.I started filtering their water as I live in a hard area.I don’t feed high calcium vegetables like kale/ spinach. They are fed things like romaine lettuce, cucumber, broccoli, the odd tomato. The boys have dill and mint most days.I always assumed that dill and mint was low in calcium.Am I feeding the wrong things?

Hi there,

I haven’t had piggies very long but I had the same issue. I have been feeding a variety of vegetables but so far no kale or spinach. Red peppers, green beans, small amount of Savoy cabbage.

All the research I read said not to worry too much as long as you are monitoring calcium intake.

If you type ‘wee’ in the search, loads of posts come up about it.
