white wee

I think this is caused by a slight build up of calcium (am sure someone on here will confirm or deny this!). Try feeding veggies with a lower calcium level and see if it changes. There's a fab list of foods contents on the Guinea Lynx website if you need it.

Yep some white wee is normal but it is to do with a calcium build up. If it is powdery once dried then that is ok but gritty then thats when it can be a problem.

Reduce the amount of calcium based foods, give lots of variety little and often and they should be fine. :)

totally agree with Louise (S&T), some is normal but if it's gritty, thats a problem. just try not to feed many high calcium foods, because if it gets really bad it can lead to stones O0 it's great that you've been observant and caught it now if that's what it is O0

Gps that do not drink enough will get calcinated urine.Give extra water by syringe, several mls per day.

Kale and parsley are 2 veggies that are high in calcium, cut back on these.

There is a low calcium diet on Piggy Power website. This is aUK website and the diet is app'roved by a gp specialist vet.

That's interesting Mary. Pudsey is not a drinker, infact he never drinks and I have noticed he does have some white pee! Will syringe him some water, he is the only one who doesn't drink!
:)

what happens if parsley is the only food that is safe for your piggy to eat? as so far there is no pattern to what sets zoe off with her soft poops but we have found parsley is safe for her. :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: both girls are drinking about 100mls a day of water. naturally less in winter if we even get a winter this year as summer doesn't want to buggar off! :tickedoff: :tickedoff: :tickedoff: we have had 14 days of 35C or over and still no change in sight :tickedoff: :tickedoff: :tickedoff: will keep an eye on zoe's waters(p p) as we don't need that as well! thanks for the heads up :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:
