They’re so different to one another, Jasmine (brown and white) is definitely much more human friendly than Sophie (Black). My daughter seems to prefer Sophie though and I prefer Jasmine so I get to cuddle her a lot without having to steal her from the child
 
lol - that's you hooked now! I'm erm...over 21 shall we say, and have 5....people think I'm mad, because guinea pigs are generally considered to be children's pets, but just look at the number of people on here who are weeeeellll into their adulthood, and love their piggies! Yours are gorgeous wee things xx
 
Here guinea pigs are not children's pets (thanks god!).
I will be 50 next April... and here I am considered mad/weird/insane because of MY three piggies. Neighbours, friends and relatives just ask me WHY...
Last week the last "why" came from a friend who invited me to see his new bathroom and its gorgeous futuristic shower stall paid 7000€:eek:. He asked me "but... why three guinea pigs?" and I replied "why 7000€ for washing yourself and wasting water?"

I've had guinea pigs on and off since I was 12. We had them when my children were young too, I've always loved them. I enjoy them even more now I'm retired and have lots of time for them.I'm well past worrying about what other people think, guinea pigs are not just for children.
 
I grew up with rodents and small animals and still love them as an adult (and no longer a 'young adult' either... I guess a midlife adult!) I've had mice, gerbils, hedgehogs, guinea pigs, hamsters... love them all and really don't foresee a time when I won't have small animals, even when my kids have left the nest.
