I'd just like to encourage anybody considering getting a new piggy to consider taking on a rescue adult. Here's our Oscar who was about 18 months old and described as a 'shy chap' when we got him - he has really blossomed and is now far braver and happier to be cuddled than my 4 sows, who we've had since they were babies. My little boy, who's nearly 3, loves helping me with the piggies and it is Oscar who is perfectly happy to sit on his knee and be cuddled! It is also Oscar who is always wheeking the loudest for his breakfast, stood up with his big black paws on the door. So, Oscar says "go on, give us shy adults a chance!" :)

Here's my little apprentice and his pal:

Oh that is such a touching picture.... so beautiful xx

I agree, my girlies were around 18 months old when we got them. They'll always be my babies!

Lovely photo. Gorgeous Oscar x) he sounds like a wonderful character! He's obviously blossomed with your girls and the love you give him. Great story, rescue piggies have so much to give.
