It was Marys follow up appointment after being on medication for the last 6 weeks for her bladder issues, but after finding lumpy stuff in Patrick, Olive AND opals armpits last week I decided everyone could go for a health check!
So I packed them all into the car this morning and off to the city we went.

Mary, Is doing fine. I told the vet that I have still seen her produce some red stained wee’s, but never seems uncomfortable. The vet is happy for me to just keep an eye on things as she doesn’t have any stones or appear to be in any pain, she may just need a small course of the antibiotics when it flares up for the ongoing future. He also checked her entropion eye and also wasn’t concerned about that.

Patrick, He had his cataract eye re-checked. No change, Patrick’s unfazed by it so we shall just keep up with the eye drops to prevent ..I can’t remember what he said, maybe an ulcer?. So nothing to worry about, still has slight vision out of it.
The vet tested Patrick’s lumpy area in his armpit and it came back with fatty cysts, again just keep an eye on them for any changes. But at the moment nothing to stress about.

Olive, She still has a heart murmur. She also has fatty cysts that he took a sample from. Their smaller than Patrick’s. All should be fine!

Opal ALSO has fatty lumps in armpits! Otherwise fit and healthy.

I can’t believe 3 out of 4 have fatty cysts! The vet assured me it’s nothing I’m doing wrong.. I hope so!

It was an expensive trip to the vet as you can imagine! But at least I have peace of mind that all is okay, just things to keep an eye on  Glad I’ve finally got to see the exotic vet!

They are all home now sleeping!

Oh and I saw 4 Massive wedge tailed eagles all feasting on roadkill on the drive in, was amazing! Their size was impressive. Gutted I didn’t get a photo.

What a time of it you are having. At least you know not to worry now.

Yes tell me about it! But thankfully my anxiety over the animals have lessened recently which is great! and the main thing is everyone is happy, active and have great appetites so that’s all that matters for now :D
