Ive brought Baylee and Mansell a new cage as there other one was only temp and to small. They were in a cage about 100cm long and they looked cramped but they were so happy and popcorned all the time in there. I recently put them in there new cage (a 140cm) and i was so excited i thought they would be amazed by the size (all my other piggies were when they got there new cages) but they looked petrified and today there the same. They used to come out and see me and talk all the time now there really quite and run away from me. Surely they dont like the small cage better? Whats going on? i thought i was doing what was best for them :(

help please guys

i think they have to get used to it. my girls aren't as tame as they were in their small cages. i think they just want to explore, but feel naughty looking around x

Yeah a larger cage is daunting for them. Eccles hated his 4x2 C&C as it was not enclosed but he loves his cage of the same size. Just give them time I'm sure they will come around. :)

as the others said, just give them time, they know they're in a new cage and are a bit scared of all the space!

Ahh bless them. They're probably feeling a little overwhelmed by all that space. Do they have pigloos or somewhere they can hide if they're feeling a little scared? Given time they'll definately appreciate the extra space and realise what lucky piggies they are :(|)

I echo what the others have said. I'm sure that they'll get use to their new cage in a few days. Just give them plenty of hiding places and leave them to explore in their own time. They'll probably do it when you're not looking x
