Only tonight, Sooty was happily running in and out of the tube, and just an hour ago, i found him sleeping in his hay lying on one side, looking like he just dropped and died.
I am out of answers, i lost Sweep, Fluffly's other baby and Sooty's sibling the same way. I dont no what it is wrong. They're were both perfectly fine and healthy and they just died. ? i am all out of answers, all i can ask is questions. if they're was something wrong with food or water or bedding, surely the other 5 piggies would be affected? Maybe it is something wrong with them since brith, since i only lost Sweep last Saturday, and i lost Sooty this saturday. Please help me. :'(

The only thing that I can think of would be a genetic defect. Were the parents related in any way? Were they born early? Since they were siblings and both died rather closely, it would appear that's what it is, though I may be wrong.

I totally agree with Kimmie sounds to me like a genetic thing or mabe a birth defect but then both would have had it so more likely a genetic abnormality, as sais what was the relation of mum and dad, never in a million years interbreed I think thats one of the most awlful things to do and a loaded time bomb

Why don't you take your other piggys to the vet just for a check up and to rule out anything contageous? That way your mind will be at rest and hopefully you can avoid more heartbreak.

As said, look at their mum and dad.
Were they related as queried, was it an accidental mating or planned?

Barbara

the mating was accidental, but they wouldn't have any relation cause the breeder sells only pedigree piggies (all breeds) i dont no the proper word for it so i used the dogs lol. and fluffly and george of both different breeds/

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss, what a horrible thing to have happen. This happened to my other piggie a couple of weeks ago - one minute he was fine, the next minute he was dead. :(. RIP little darling, have fun at the bridge.
