I love it when they follow eachother around in a line it's like they are doing the piggy conga but was just wondering why they do it? It's one of the cutest things about Guinea pigs especially when they pick up pace and do a little jog
Mine follow eachother around and the one at the front stops, sniffs something and carries on so the second and third in the line stop sniff the same thing and then jog after the one in front lol it's so funny and cute ❤️

It's a natural behaviour that helps keep them together in the wild.
Their eyesight isn't great, and being near the bottom of the food chain it isn't always a good idea to make noise to find each other (and thereby give away their location to a predator) so staying close to each otter helps to ensure that no one gets lost.

I love watching it too - such interesting little creatures!

It's funny to watch isn't it. Since we got mike, ours haven't been on the floor but it'll be interesting to see what happens when they do because Benson never used to go anywhere on the floor without his brave bother, stan.

Stan was always the leader and benson tagged on like a magnetic carriage on a toy train!

If benson doesn't move on the floor, I've a funny feeling mike won't either as mike now looks to benson as the lead pig
