Why Do I Bother...

Today I am sitting next to the guinea pigs wondering why I bother with hidey houses. Almost 95% of the time, all the girls are always in the hay sleeping
Nora is the only one who ever uses that pink house!

Mine like to ditch their hidey’s and sleep out in the middle of the cage totally chilled out and exposed. If I was a predator they would both be dinner lol.

Lovely photos. Mine love curling up in their hay trays, too. And I’ve no idea why some houses are so favoured and others are a last resort. I have some I now only use for the foster piggies as mine just don’t seem to like using them. Fussy princesses.

I thought I'd finally sussed it with Bobby and Bailey, and gave them a big crisp box, lined and full of hay, which they were using, and doing most of their wees in....BUT, the last two days they have pulled the hay out of it, pushed the box away from the side of the cage and are sleeping behind it, with all the mess that involves. Doh!

What a lovely herd.. so sweet..all in the hay My 3 girls are fickle, sometimes they bicker over their hidey & 2 will try & get in it at once (usually unsuccessfully) but other days they don’t bother & they too favour the hay!
They like to keep us on our toes us silly piggy slaves! Xx
