Does anyone have any ideas why one of my boars has started biting the wood in his hutch?
He has plenty of chew toys etc. but it seems he'll to chew on anything he can his teeth on.
I've nicknamed him 'Starlight Super Shredder'. I just hope he doesn't have a great escape!
His other brother is now nicknamed 'Moonlight Munching Machine' has he is faster than my lawn mower

Many thanks in advance to any suggestions.

You have a chewer....

We have one too. They do this :)) Are they happy, eating and healthy otherwise?

Thanks for the replies. Yep, they seem happy/healthy and I'm glad this is normal behaviour. If I could rename I bet Chewie is a popular name.

Yes some piggies are chewers. My late Isobel did a good job remodelling the doorway to the bedding areas of the hutch. Now it's Donald. Funny how you hear chewing of wood when in the kitchen and immediately just shout "Donald stop it already your veggies are on their way!'
