Why does he back up when he pees? :3

It's not a problem, he's never uncomfortable when he pees (that's why I'm putting this thread in guinea pig chat) but I just wonders why he does this..

I find it quite funny... Sometimes his back legs almost fall off my lap :))
 
He's a very clean piggy - he simply doesn't want to pee where he is lying! I must admit that I have some over the edge of the mat peeing pigs ignoring the fact that I put the mats out for them to pee on in the first place!
 
Aww, that makes me really appreciate it!

Though, he may think he's being clean, but sometimes it makes things a lot dirtier for me if he isn't peeing in the right place!
 
Flumpet did that a few weeks ago. I had her on a towel and she swung her bum over the side and pee'd on the sofa. rolleyes
