Why does Roy click his teeth at me?

My 6 year old boar, Roy clicks his teeth at me and stamps his feet. He also does this to my other 2 boars, which I know is just boar behaviour but I don't know why he does it to me. It seems like he thinks I'm a male guinea-pig - thanks for that Roy :)) Does he do this because he's trying to warn me away from him or something? He's fine and doesn't bite me or anything, he just gets a bit annoyed sometimes and clicks his teeth at me, stamps his feet and runs away. Could it be that I smell like the other boars?
 
Hey,

They usually do this when they are annoyed or warning another guinea pig.

Sometimes before fighting too, abit strange he is doing it at you.

Although i have another older guinea pig, Humphery and he chatters his teeth when he wants something...food. Ususally because his cage is last and he is always fed last, bless him.

Females do this aswel, just when they are abit annoyed with eachother.

Is he on his own?

Yes he's on his own. He lived with another boar and they got on quite well but the other boar died and I tried to pair him up with one of my other boars, Barry but they fought so for now he's alone.
 
Oh sorry to hear :(

I'm sure he just wants something, more food then they already got. Dunno where they put it all! Id feel sick if i ate that much grass!

my neutered boar jive teeth chatters at me if he feels he is not getting his fair share of food or if he is bored of me cuddling him and he wants to go back to the girls :) he also teeth chatters when he needs the toliet and he is on my lap - he is telling you something you just need to work out what it is?
 
Stripes doesn't do wheeking for food he just grinds his teeth which turns in to a chatter if he doesn't get fed straight away. Grumpy boy!
 
Some of my piggies teeth chatter if I don't hurry up with their food or they don't get what they want lol I also have a boar that lives on his own, due to his friend passing away and he teeth chatters at me too! Although I think it's mainly due to impatience lol
 
all mine chatter if i steal the empty food bowl mainly rocky telling him to Foxtrot Oscar, or tell him to Sierra Tango Foxtrot Uniform is met with more rebelious chattering theyre rebels i tell you!
