why is excelfood for piggies shaped like their poo ?

i brought a bag of this today (they are normally fed on PAH pellets) and found it amusing it is shaped the same as it is when it comes out the other end! now when they poo in their food bowl i wont know which is which !

It is banana flavoured with walnuts and dark chocolate chunks - or it used to be - now it has dark chocolate bananas that look exactly like a piggy poo ! - so much so that my teenage son was going to dish one up to his younger sister |)>>>

I always wondered why they were such an unusual shape :L And then their blackcurrent type one has just basic pellety pellets. Very strange

I have heard that quite a bit of research goes into the size, shape, texture of animal food (not sure if piggies or rabbits count) to make sure the animal is going to eat it

Perhaps it's to fool the piggies that they are actually eating poo rather than food! .
