why is Iceberg poisonous

It isn't poisonous it just offers no nutritional value and is high in nitrates and water content. :)
 
I always used it for years until i came on here ;D Had no problems with it though whatsoever ;)
I now give mine romaine only ~ they love it but it dont last long ::)
 
Romaine is a bit weedy looking at the moment, I use Round Lettuce (or hot house lettuce) doesn't last long either but I only buy 1/2 a week for my 8 and 3 rescues. :)
 
Nope Iceberg is the harder textured one. Round is the floppy lettuce...haha good at describing things...not! It says on the packs what they are. I had lambs lettuce but was unsure if they could have it so ate it myself! :D
 
Iceberg lettuce is quite tightly packed isn't it? I never feed it just describing it.

All I can find is Lambs quarters not sure if they are the same and also they are hight in calcium. :)
