mimsy

did i get a long haired piggie!
the time has come to do my first haircut as mimsy looks like a tumbleweed!!shes got a few small matts near her bum and needs a good trim.i did round her face and shoulders fine but anywhere past her tummy shes not impressed and keeps jumping and trying to kick me when i get a bit of hair, which is not very helpful!so i need advice on the best way to do this.is it eaier if her furs a bit damp, are scissors the best thing to use or can i use something else?and any other tips/techniques would be great.

Frequent brushing would help to get rid of knots. Perhaps wet the brush alittle to make it easier to control when trimming and also maybe get someone to hold her while you trim. If only they liked hairdressers. :)

i asked my other half to help and his reply was get some immac on her.typical unhelpful male.maybe when my friend next comes to cut our hair i should give her a few quid to do mimsy too!

My cousin is a dog groomer she has sick Silver agouti pigs (lucky mare) and she trims long haired pigs. So she'll do Milo's for me a I can't even trim my own fringe without making a pigs ear of it! :D

we use a electric trimmers on our piggies it is quick and easy, that one you have one had to trim and one to hold fiesty piggy :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: love it when your concentrating and they pee on you ::) ::) ::) and louise i cut my own hair too and i cut the OH's saves heaps of money O0 hope you get your piggy trimmed :smitten:

Do you really mean "sick"?

i always find cutting archie's hair is easier when its wet, i bathed him the other day and cut his fur as it had got a bit long and he's a grubby lil fella i took loads off! i cut the majority off whilst wet, dry him gently with the hairdryer which he actually seems to rather like lol and then tidy him up after he's dry :) i did a good job this time, last time the poor lil thing had different lengths of fur on different parts of his body ;D

by electric trimmers do you mean the ones to cut mens hair or special animal ones.cos we got trimmers here so they would be easier.

just normal hair clippers similar to the pictured ones we have 2 one for us and one for the fur babies. good luck, we find them easier O0
