I just keep on seeing people writing piggies or pigs. Why not guineas? -I say guineas- piggies sounds like pigs you get on farms.

SO WHY DO YOU SAY PIGGIES?

By the way check out GUINEA PIG CHRISTMAS CALENDAR 1, 2 AND 3! Written by me.;)

Always have called them pigs or piggies, even before I found this forum.

They're also known as the Piggles in our house - hence my board name :)

I say piggies too or refer to mine as the boys!

I hate when people say rats, I'm like booooo its not a rat lol! x

Pigs, piggy wigs, piggy wiggles, piggles, piggies and piglets.....guineas just doesn't sound right.
And you just can't get as many cute versions from guineas. ;)
Then of course if you have a tubby pig your husband saying " BIG GUINEA" in an X factor voice whenever he picks the furry football up just isn't the same as " BIG PIG! " :(|)

Piggies, Piggles, Pigs, Pumpkins, Puddings, The Girls, Ood, Strudels, Them...... So many words to describe they who must be obeyed....

Mine get called Guinea wheekles, Piglet wigglets, Piglets, Wheekles, Girlies, Girly pigs, Guinea girls, Noisy little sausages and also I know how to say guinea pig in 5 other languages so sometimes they get spoken to in Polish, German, whatever I fancy. Shame I only know 5 words in Polish and 4 are animals. It's what happens when you are taught by a nine year old.

I use guineas as well as pigs for mine and pigglies if they're being cute...rolleyes not often! I like saying pigs to 'outsiders' and see the look on their faces as they automatically assume oink-pigs and not wheek-pigs.:))
