H i everyone,
Why do some people go out on a wim see a lovely cute guinea pig in a pet shop and buy it with no or hardly any knowledge for there care. Yes they do get some good advice in the shop but not all of it is. Someone i know has just done that,lucky she bought two so they do have company. I had to explain why you can't fed them rabbit pellets, the different choices for lining the cage and bedding,the size of cage she needs for two piggies , food chart, nail trimming ect. Oh why can't some people do a little research . Sorry for the moan this morning.

I don’t blame you! I constantly feel like this as I work in a pet shop We don’t sell animals but we always get the people come in like “we’ve just bought X and we wanna get something super inappropriate for them on some stupid advice/we saw on Facebook”

The worst for me is probably cats, people never know how to look after them or feed them properly, they’re always on harmful food that will cause health issues and no one knows how to train them... They think they’re an animal you can just possess and ignore, it’ll look after itself

I don’t understand it myself, I did months of research before getting the pigs!
