Can anybody please enlighten me as to why this little Rex like his brother Hope love to sit on my shoulders.
PS he is sitting there while I type this, and falling asleep.
 
awww thats pretty special, i think they just like the warmth, my mums pig eats hair while up there!

about hair eating.

Hope does eat my hair when he feels like it but mostly he loves to hide in my shirt, I'll post a picture as soon as possible of that. Gizzy also likes to hide in my shirt too come to think of it, my other problem with it is that he is heavy. My nickname for him is "Baby Bull" due to his bullheadedness and muscular build.
 
I was just thinking surely he's heavy! I've never seen a piggy do that ;) very cute he looks very relaxed!
 
One of my boys does that and about 4 of my girls lol or they like to try and snuggle under your armpit which I find a bit yukky but each to their own I suppose :(|)
 
My old guinea pigs that I had when I was young always used to climb onto my shoulders so they could bury themselves in my hair.
I think it's cute and special. It makes me feel like I have a closer bond with them :)
 
My Artie does that and he burries himself in my hair, which i dont mind but i end by stinking off piggie :)) Tis lovely isnt it? :)
 
even though they're the same age, Gizmo is way heavier than Hope who is more delicate
 
A couple of mine love to climb up onto my shoulders, especially if i'm wearing a hoodie. Another one loves to tuck her head under my chin. Its lovely! :)
 
One of my regular visitors, a little boar named Pixie, also loves to sit and snuggle on shoulders/into necks. He is another hair munching fiend! He really makes himself comfortable and *** happily sit on your shoulder all evening - makes for a very warm and stiff neck!

Your guys are lovely.
 
My Patch loves climbing into my hood or onto my shoulder and nuzzling into my neck. It's all fine and well until he tries to chew my ear lol.

Thanks everyone who has posted, at least I now know that this behavior is fairly common. I promised to post a photo of Hope in my shirt collar at the beginning of this thread so here you are.:))
 
lol, it is such a random behaviour. One of mine used to do it when he was a baby (not any more thank goodness because he weighs a guinea-pig tonn) Hope looks rather happy in your shirt collar :)
 
Patch used to do it too, but if he tried it now, the great lug would break my neck, he is absolutely HUGE! lol
