Hi Sue! Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. It's been a difficult few weeks at TEAS as we had a terminally ill piggy, who sadly was helped over the Rainbow Bridge on Monday evening, plus a piggy needing 100% syringe feeding.
Anyway, although Simon can't really be sure as he hasn't examined your rodent, he does wonder if she is experiencing the same as one of our residents does. From time to time Snoozy loses hair without any obvious reason and then it grows back. This has been happening for a number of years now. We have tried all sorts of mite treatments and fungal treatments, just in case, but it doesn't make any difference. He has come to the conclusion that his moulting sequence is out of sync and rather than just part of the hair coming away with the rest growing, that in patches it all comes away and then all regrows. As long as she seems healthy in all other ways, it may just be something that continues to happen.
