Adult Guinea Pig
My lovely boy Wilbur died in the night. I first saw Wilbur on a website two years ago, but was unable to adopt him. When he reappeared on that website aain last year, I knew straight away that I had to help. A 60 mile round trip followed and Wilbur arrived here sickly, thin and with completely overgrown toenails. It was nothing that good food and lots of love and care couldn't cure though. He stayed with my amazing friend for 6 weeks while I sorted accomodation for him, so he spent just over a year here. He had impaction and just recently, his eyes had started looking tired, he was eating less and his poor toes with curled up with painful arthritis. My only comfort now is that he is no longer in pain, but he was one of my favourite pigs and it never occured to me that he might be coming to the end of his life. I estimate that he was about six and a half, and I hope he enjoyed his last year with me. I am going to miss him so much, I am devastated. I love you Wilbur, RIP and be happy
