Wild Guinea Pigs

I haven't seen it before, it'd so cute but also a little sad that they don't have hoomans to care for them and cuddle.

@gus+walter : There are three wild species of guinea pigs in South America. Our guinea pigs have descended from one of them, but have been domesticated for thousands of years in farmyards; they are no longer the same species and do not naturally occur in the wild. Our pet guinea pigs are essentially farm animals that have filled the niche of chickens on other continents (like the Eurasian continent or Africa) before chickens were introduced into South America by the Spanish, and they are still a vital source of protein for the mostly poor population in a very unprededictable climate of extremes. These wild guinea pigs are like any wild animal; they do not like being handled and petted, and they are normally very shy! ;)

I have seen the video. @PiggieHerd: We ask our members to please credit the source of any pictures or videos that are shown on here; just naming the platform you have copied it from is not enough (like google or youtube, for example). There are copyright issues to be considered, as the forum is a public platform and just a single private person.
 
Oh aren't they sweet, I'd be chasing after them trying to bring them indoors lol
 
Some animals from the 'wild' enjoy being petted though. I saw a program where there was a huge rescue place in South Africa and there were wild animals that had been rescued that loved the human attention, all be it a tad scared at first but I think if the animal can sense your there to help it, they'll allow you to do so.

I got this video from Youtube and person who posted it on youtube is Mr.Pondypondy. I don't know how to edit my first posting so I can include the owner of the youtube video.

Clarification: I wasn't aware of copyright laws that pertained to posting youtube video, I thought since youtube is a public video sharing media that copyright laws are null and void when it comes to videos posted on youtube by owners and others can use the videos as long as they don't download it on their page or if the video is embedded a caption stating it isn't for public viewing/sharing. Pictures I know are different story and need to be cited.

Copyrights are the same for pictures as for videos. Thanks for adding your source.

Wow they look quite different to our domesticated piggies. Looks like they have much longer snouts. Still cute though!
 
So cute! They look more like pigs than the domesticated descendants that we keep as pets. I think it's the slightly longer legs!
