As many of you know Wilfred joined the family last Friday He has settled in - once he got into his ZooZone cage.

He is the fastest member of the family as the other furries here are much older and like the quieter life and Wilfred is full of beans!

His home is in no way finished yet as still need to buy toys and a beter wheel as don't like this one, even though he does. I also have had to get shavings as can't get any megazorb yet, got to wait for a lift to the farm shop but might just mail order it.

Anyway here is the chap - I shall start a new thread once my good camera is back from repair as this old ones awful quality.

awwwwwwwww he's gorgeous, I know the rehoming post certainly captured my heart as well :)

He is super cute. I used to have one and it used to climb in the plastic ball thingy and whizz round the house. Then it used to stop and have a little wash and off it would go again. I used to open the ball in front of its cage and do you think he would get out!

Awwwwwwwwww! He's soooo beautiful! x)x)x)x)

Thanks so much for posting pics of him! Would you recommend carefresh over sawdust, I finally get paid on Wednesday so currently compiling lists of things to buy for the 19th March! :))

He is a lovely colour. All these photos of syrian hammies lately are making me want another hammy myself but there is no room at the inn here.

I'd say megazorb is the best as I find Carefresh expensive and personally not keen on it. I've never had a problem with shavings over the years but moved to megazorb for my indoor guineas before I read up on fleece, after reading about the shaving issue and guineas. I did get back to nature bedding for Wilfred but he didnt seem to like it so am using shavings at the mo but will be ordering megazorb - it's a huge sack and will last ages for hamsters - some farm shops can get it in saves postage. Reckon it will last me months:)

I have such a list of things to buy but not had time to get to the shops yet.

I'm loving the zoozone cage - fab for a syrian as lots of space and meshing the lid was not hard. Wilfred loves it and he will get lots of new toys in there soon.
