Wilkinsons guinea pig food?

Does anyone buy it,what do you all think of it? I get wilkos rabbit food for my rabbits and they enjoy it also get them treats and bits from there which are gone within minutes!lol
with not having a pet shop near me now wilkinsons is easier so I'm going to be getting the pigs food from there(provided they will like it) so just wondered what others thoughtp thanks

It depends on the ingredients really. I'll see if I can find out more about the food. The best brands are Oxbow, Burgess and Science Selective - not sure if Wilko's would sell brands other than their own.

wilkos sell wagg guinea crunch i think and gerty guinea food if I remember correctly as well as the own brand

I used to buy it for my piggies & they loved it but i wasn't sure if it was Gerty GP & because of the colourings in it i changed them onto Wagg

Hi Sarah,

thought I'd let you know where I get my supplies as I am 'local'.

I get my nuggets from the Larton Liveries pet food store in Frankby (I get Excel oragano and blackcurrant - blame Helen for that, she gave me a sample and the boys have been hooked since) which is £1 less than at P@H. Sometimes, they also have good quality hay, although we've bought our last batch on e-bay.
My boys like P@H premium muesli too and I actually have a spare bag of that if anyone is interested. They won't manage to eat it before the BBE date.

I have used Wilko's stuff in the past until I had to throw away a full bag of muesli as it had gone mouldy (before i'd even opened it). Some members on here have had issues with finding dangerous 'items' in their hay too.

Hello, Ive fed wilkensons food in the past when I couldnt find gerty. My two boys thought it was ok but they prefer gerty. I noticed that they have now dropped the price of the guinea pig food in wilkensons. Its only £1.19 now for there own brand.
I agree with MrsM that there hay isnt that good I bought some medow hay and found stones etc in it,also my little friend medow hay I found chicken feather/stones in the bag but the hay itself was fresh and green thats why I bought it. Luckily I checked my bags but now but small bales of hay from the local farms.
