Will changing my hay supplier upset my piggies stomachs?

Hi all, I just wanted to ask if changing my hay supplier will cause any harm to my piggies digestive systems/stomachs? The last few orders I have had from my usual suppliers haybox, have not been good at all to say the least and I wish to start purchasing it elsewhere however, do not want to upset them in any way. Also, does anyone have any recommendations for a new supplier? Thanks!

Yer that's the company I was thinking about ordering from. Good to know they should be fine switching. Have you been having problems with haybox too?

I was annoyed by them increasing their free delivery threshold without telling anybody. (Thread where we discussed it below)

It turns out that now their threshold has gone up so if you amend your order and didn’t spend over £35 you were hit with a delivery charge. No warning it would happen.
i was not happy that there was no warning prior to editing an order and no warning it had gone up, so by the time I had done it it was too late. It’s not the first time they have done it either.
I cancelled my subscription and went to happy hay.
I ordered a 10kg bale of orchard hay, lovely hay, all my six love it!

Hay!

Ah yes, I only noticed the threshold increase after I had checked out too. I'm finding the quality is not great at all either.

My piggies are so used to timothy hay, that I wonder if switching to the orchard hay you mention would be OK?

All of mine were used to Timothy but I switched to orchard with no issue. In fact they seem to prefer it

Well hopefully my piggies will be ok too. I'm always a little cautious when it comes to their diet as one of my piggies Ruby suffers with cystitis and my other piggie Delilah has had a few flare ups of bloat. I think I'm overcautious to be honest.

That’s understandable to be cautious - I swapped hay suppliers regularly last year as my piggies just wouldn’t eat it
I’ve finally found the Happy Hay Co and me and the piggies are very very happy ! I buy the soft hay and it’s always green soft luscious hay with some seed heads too 🥰
I stopped Haybox - poor quality hay and very poor customer service

Happy Hay's timothy has a tendency to be very stalky, just as a warning. My two love it, others might not be so keen. The orchard's the other one they love and it's much softer than the timothy. I've never had a bad box from Happy Hay though, and their customer service has always been very very good.

I've just switched to Little Hay company from Hay Box. Hay Box quality has been declining for some time, they sent me a box of meadow instead of timothy. The Little Hay timothy is stalky and some of mine aren't eating it. I've got Natures Own meadow hay they like so I am thinking I will stop feeding timothy once what I have is gone. It makes me sneeze!

Sorry I’m using the Little Hay Company - don’t know why I put the Happy Hay co - apologies it was an error
They do a great variety of forage
